How are you employing prayer this Lent? I'd love to hear from you!

  1. The priest at Mass today had an interesting point about prayer in his homily. He said never to expect an answer at the time you ask. The answer will come later. God has to work his way through all the noise in our life/in our heads. He said a few other things but the never expect an answer part is what really struck me. I can't count the number of times I've asked and didn't get an answer and so figured an answer wasn't coming. I need to remember to pay attention and listen for the answer when it comes.

    1. Melanie,

outstanding point! It's so true. I tend to be impatient, and then lose sight of what I had even asked as time goes on. We need to keep vigilant and quietly alert. That has been a real theme for me this Lent, and I love this tie-in to prayer!

Thank you for commenting! I read and appreciate every single one, and I will respond to each one personally!
