Items mentioned in this episode:

Weekend dance post

On My Bookshelf - Murder Wears Mittens (Seaside Knitters Society), by Sally Goldenbaum.

Prayer Corner - I've been working on praying at least 1 office of the Liturgy of the Hours each day with my Divine Office app.

Creative Commons - I'm on the 2nd sleeve of my Rhinebeck sweater! But also, a Beachcomber Shawl in a fall-inspired colorway.  This is the yarn base I'm using, though the colorways I chose are no longer available. It's *divine*, and the dyer is incredibly talented!

How is your prayer life these days? What is your back-to-school season like? I'd love to hear from you!

  1. It has been hot this entire week. High 90s to 100+ hot. Thankfully, libraries are air conditioned and it works in my car. This is always an interesting time of year because it is back to school for the community college I'm an adjunct at and graduation for the tiny university where I'm solo librarian. So depending on the day of the week, I'm either telling students how to use reserves or following up with students who have overdue books and must return them before graduation.

I've been praying night prayer almost every night. I really like some of the prayers involved and it is fulling my desire to make bedtime prayer more meaningful. My other goal this semester was to make it to the chapel at least once a week. I literally have to drive by a nearby parish on my way home from work and while they don't have adoration at the time I drive by the chapel is still open.

I put my shawl in timeout. Something is off in the lace pattern, I either have too many stitches or too few. I think I need to rip out this lace section and maybe some before it, around 10 rows and I don't want to do that right now. I bought some Expression Fiber Art yarn during the Christmas in July sale. I have a hank of the holly and ivy colorway that I'd really like to be Christmas shawl. I just need to find the right pattern.

    1. Hi Melanie! Yes, that sounds quite hectic. :0 I'm so glad you're enjoying Night Prayer! I've actually been praying Morning Prayer more than anything else, which is very surprising to me.

Ugh, on the shawl. Lace. *collapses* Yes, one stitch can instill quite a bit of misery. Best to put it aside before making any decisions.
