Happy Friday everyone, and welcome to our early August edition of:

Today I address the EPIC dancing weekend I had, more about performance jitters, a new trilogy from my favorite secular author who specializes in suspense set in Montana, the joy of Morning Offering prayers, and the Downton Abbey shawl is coming along!

Needs lots of blocking when it's done, but coming along nicely!

What have you been working on this summer? Are you looking forward to back-to-school season? Any Advent book club suggestions? I'd love to hear from you!

  1. Sounds like you had quite an adventure this weekend. I just finished The Well since it has to go back to the library tomorrow. So glad it was the book club pick. I'm still working on the shawl I mentioned last week. The yarn (Knit Picks Gradient in Spacewalk) has specks of white in it which I wasn't expecting. I'm not sure if they are meant to be there. I'm still in the first color (purple) so I'm not sure if they go all throughout the yarn or not.

    1. Hi Melanie! I'm so glad that "The Well" ended up as our pick, too. Divine intervention, for sure!

ooo, very curious about your yarn. I'll be interested to hear your report when you've made your way through more of the skein.

  2. I love hearing all about your dancing <3

This site has a few different morning offerings. The first one is what I pray in the mornings. My dad had a print out of it and gave it to me a few years back. It's similar to the one you have.
