"Interiorly, simplicity challenges us to render a forthright image of ourselves, one that avoids any prosaic illusions of grandeur that in reality are nothing more than mental temptations." I'm prone to doing this, imagining how I would react or what I would do in a particular situation, however the situation I imagine is not likely to ever happen. The virtue of simplicity reminds me that I need to pay attention to the opportunities afforded to me now and not imaginary opportunities in an imaginary future.
