I don't want an epidural, but I know there are times when it's necessary (and induction is one of those times since Pitocin ramps the contractions up so much)<br /><br />So if I end up having to be induced because I'm not in labor before 42 weeks, or I'm not progressing, I could revisit the epidural thing. One thing I've read is that you can get smaller doses, which allow you to feel needing to push better, but take away the intense pain, so it may be something to read about.
